"We purpose to build relationships, provide relevant ministry and release the power of God through revelation and real worship to reap our harvest." Dr. LaVerne Adams
CATHEDRAL OF PRAISE
It's Where YOU Belong!
It is our vision to be a thriving body of multicultural believers who are equipped and empowered to expand God's Kingdom with the kind of excellence that brings glory to God and blesses people with an exceptional quality of life. We have been in existence since 1993. In 1997, God blessed our church with a new visionary, the Rev. Dr. LaVerne Adams, to whom God gave a New Vision to fulfill God's Plans and purposes for our being in our community. Under her direction, we restarted the church and we have seen God perform many miracles to sustain us in our mission to save souls and serve our community. In February 2000, the church changed its name to Cathedral of Praise Community Church to signify our new beginning as people of praise.
For over 20 years, God has kept our ministry strong through the sound biblical teaching and preaching of our pastor. We believe God's Word to be true and it is the foundation for our daily lives. We also attribute our continued presence to all of the relevant ministries that everyone in our church is encouraged to be involved in order to strengthen their relationship with God and other Christian brothers and sisters. In addition to our Sunday morning worship service which begins at 11:15 am, we host two Bible Study classes on Wednesdays at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm. Bible Study is a great place to get a better understanding about the bible as well as to get all of your questions answered.
There are many ministries that you can get involved in and enjoy at our church and are excellent ways for you to build your relationship with God. All new members of Cathedral of Praise go through 12 weeks of new members classes and are baptized. They also have a special meeting with
Pastor Adams for a time to share with her their personal and spiritual needs as well as to complete a spiritual gift assessment so that she can find
the right place for them to utilize their spiritual gifts, talents and abilities to serve our ministry. Our church is a member of the Abundant Harvest
Fellowship of Churches, under the leadership of Bishop David G. Evans, based in Lindenwold, New Jersey. I serve as the National Director of
Community Development. It is this alignment that helps our ministry to connect with the larger body of Christ and expand the Kingdom of God.
